Suday August 22

If you have not already seen the VHS tape of the movie “Circle Of Friends”, get it and enjoy the good Irish Drama. It is copyrighted in 1995 and may not had much of play in the theatres. It is the story of first love, first kisses and first boy friends. Three girlhood friends are re-united in college, ready to experience life in fullest. I like drama, romance and passion in preference to violence anytime.

The Burgemount Gallery Center is a delightful place to go for a noonday cup of coffee. You are at a table under an umbrella and under a small grove of hemlock trees growing out of the bare ground, pleasant shade, people eating their lunches and me reading “Travel With Alice”. It is a easy Segway ride away.

You may have heard me mention that seeing very young babies is one of the best parts of volunteer at the hospital. Very few people get to experience of seeing new babies almost every week . Yesterday was a special one. The mother brought her three day old daughter, such a small and beautiful baby, for a blood test. Later it was found out that the daughter was one of identical twins. The mother walked slowly and it was evident that their was discomfort. She sat very carefully. The other twin was not yet born and would be soon. Life has such unexpected incidences.

Monday August 16

Began reading “The Pleasure Of My Company” by Steve Martin the move funny man. From inside the cover. Steven Martin has achieved something extraordinary: the chronicle of a modern-day neurotic yeaning to break free
The second book is “Tepper Isn’t Going Out” by Calvin Trillin a New Yorker contributor. It is a wise and witty story if an ordinary man who, perhaps innocently. Changes the world around him.
